Since commencing in 2009, the BPS OSHC program has grown into a vibrant and highly valued part of the Berwick Primary School community, now supporting more than 500 families and welcoming over 200 students each afternoon.
What makes our program unique is that it is truly an extension of our school community — our program, our staff, our students and one shared set of values: Respect, Excellence and Kindness. These values underpin everything we do and help create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment where children feel connected, supported and encouraged to thrive.
Our dedicated team of educators work closely with students, families and the school to provide engaging experiences that promote wellbeing, belonging, creativity and fun. Whether children are attending before school, after school or during holiday programs, we aim to create a positive environment where every child feels valued and included.

Heather has been a valued part of the BPS OSHC program since 2015 and plays an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of children through nutritious and enjoyable food experiences. Passionate about nutrition, she prepares healthy and delicious breakfasts and afternoon teas each day, with a focus on fresh, homemade options that children love.
She takes great pride in preparing food from scratch wherever possible and enjoys incorporating produce from the OSHC vegetable garden. Through cooking, gardening and food experiences, Heather helps children develop positive relationships with healthy eating while creating opportunities for learning, connection and fun within the program. During holiday programs, she also provides opportunities for children to become involved in hands-on cooking experiences and explore new foods and skills in a fun and engaging way.
